CLE 145 v. 137 BKN (2OT)

While wearing Kyries on Kyrie man that’s nasty.

There was a historic event that occurred yesterday and no I’m no talking about the inauguration. I’m talking about how Colling Sexton lit up $114M all by himself. The refs tried their best to help the Nets win by overturning the charge and by not calling the Harden(21 PTS) travel cause apparently that can’t be reviewed in OT. KD(38 PTS) went nuts in the 4th but the bench only gave them 10 total PTS and they lost.

Anyway back to the main topic Collin Sexton(42 PTS) put the world on notice that he doesn’t hide from anyone. He single handedly scored 22 PTS in OT and lead the Cavs to spectacular in what will most likely be the most viewed Cavs game of the season. Oh yea also the Nets gave up 145 PTS the Cavs who are who have the worst offensive rating in the league.

ORL 97 v. 96 MIN

He called Game!

Last time I said that the magic need to figure out their guard situation because Cole Anthony(13 PTS) was not shooting the ball well. Cole Anthony heard me and proved me wrong as he a hit a moving three with less than a second on the clock after 2 missed free throws by vanderbilt(4 PTS) to win the game. Vucevic(28 PTS) and Fournier(24 PTS) combined for 52 PTS as the Magic came back from a 19 PT deficit to take down the KAT less Timberwolves.

ATL 123 v. 115 DET (OT)

Almost had a 30 30 game sheesh!

After dropping only 6 PTS in the first half Trae Young decided that it was time to actually play as he ended the game with 38 PTS and helped the Hawks comeback from a 14 PT deficit. He was not alone as he had the help of Capela 27 PTS and 26 REB which is pretty insane. John Collins also dropped 31 PTS as their whole bench combined for a grand total of 4 PTS. Jerami Grant once again had 32 PTS in this tough loss.

PHI 117 v. 109 BOS

MVP?

Philly shot 45 free throws and had the audacity to complain about the refs. Embiid dropped 42 PTS and with the help of Tobias Harris(22 PTS) Philly finally beat the Celtics. Philly now sits on top of the East and Embiid is currently in the MVP conversation.

Tatum didn’t play last night but the Celtics put up a good fight with Smart(25 PTS) Brown(26 PTS) and Kemba(19 PTS) combining for 70. They were careless with the ball (16 TO) and their three point shot was not falling. They will hope to get revenge when they play Philly again tomorrow.

DAL 124 v. 112 IND

The unicorn is back!

Porzingis reminded everyone that he can also be as good Luka(13 PTS) dropping 27 PTS with 13 REB and 4 AST. The Mavs shot 53% from the field as they snap their 3 game losing streak with Trey Burke (22 PTS) also providing solid minutes off the bench. The Mavs only made 8 three pointers and even though the Pacers made 16 threes they were horrible at rebounding and gave up too many second chance points.

MIA 111 v. 102 TOR

Welcome back!

Kendrick Nunn finally showed us a glimpse of his performance from last year as he scored 28 PTS off the bench leading all scorers. The Heat are still missing Butler and are currently ranked 10th in the East. The Raptors couldn’t find their offensive rhythm throughout the game and the injury riddled Heat managed to take advantage with 6 players scoring in double figures.

PHX 109 v. 103 HOU

Ayton on the rise!!

The Rockets came back multiple times after being down double digits but Ayton was too much to handle as he arguably had his best game of the season scoring 26 PTS with 17 REB of which 6 were offensive. Even though the Suns only made 8 threes and had 17 TO their bench provided them solid minutes combining for 30 PTS and Booker (24 PTS) iced it.

The Rockets are playing with good energy and hustle. They are keeping the games close even though they are still missing John Wall. Wood(20 PTS 11 REB) Gordon(22 PTS) and Oladipo(22 PTS) combined for 64 PTS in this tough loss.

GSW 121 v. 99 SAS

The Warriors came out firing and took a 12 PT lead at the end of the first and never looked back. Curry(26 PTS 11 REB) and Wiseman(20 PTS) combined for 46 PTS as the Warriors shot 50% from the field in this blowout win. The Spurs made only 4 three pointers and shot a measly 12% from beyond the arc as no one could find their shot. Special mention to the Warriors court and jerseys those were so pleasing to look at.

LAC 115 v. 96 SAC

Kawhi(32 PTS) was on one last night and even though the Kings kept it close at half the Clippers pulled away in the third. The Clippers now sit on top the west tied with the Lakers and have the 2nd best offensive rating in the league behind the Bucks but the main question is will this translate into the playoffs? Fox dropped his 25 PTS but the lottery Kings showed up last night as they didn’t stand a chance against a formidable clippers team.
